Ankara Canal Treatment

Inside the hard tissue of the tooth, there is a small chamber that gives life to the tooth with blood vessels and nerves (pulp) entering from the end of the root. This structure, which allows the teeth to grow and maintain, acts as an alarm when decay occurs.

Early untreated tooth decay progresses to the pulp, causing changes in inflammation, causing severe pain. In the next stage, the bacteria secrete acids kill the pulp. In this way, the toxins (poisons) infiltrate from the root tip and spread to the jawbone. Inflammation of the jawbone causes tooth loss and damage to surrounding tissues. To prevent this, the tooth can be saved by removing the diseased pulp tissue to protect the female and surrounding tissues.

After the pulp tissue is cleaned under anesthesia, the canals are expanded and disinfected. After all these operations, the pulp chamber is filled with special substances up to the root end. Contrary to popular belief, these procedures are painless, and the tooth being treated remains in the mouth for many years (Ankara canal treatment).

WHY CANAL TREATMENT IS REQUIRED?

If there is an infection or permanent damage to the pulp, duct treatment is necessary. Untreated caries can reach the pulp after they have exceeded the enamel and dentine and cause pulp infection.

In some cases, external factors or time-dependent factors such as fracture, cracking and trauma, or deep restorative procedures that may be performed during the dental treatment may damage the pulp.

Infection causes inflammation and prevents blood from reaching the tooth. Infection; If it reaches the inner part of the tooth, the use of antibiotics does not benefit because blood does not go to the inner part.

Teeth; When you bite, touch or push your teeth with your tongue, it is clearly painful, there is pain that starts with the sensitivity of hot and cold and persists for a long time, there is severe pain enough to wake you from sleep at night, there is swelling around the problematic teeth, swelling around the problematic teeth, If you have a broken tooth with discoloration, it may be considered that canal treatment becomes compulsory.

In the previous years, when the internal structure of the tooth was encountered, the only solution was the extraction of the tooth. However, with the development of science and technology and with the help of new instruments, endodontics has become a routine treatment.

Root canal treatment stages

To determine the problematic tooth by radiography.

If the tooth is alive, the local anesthesia should be used to eliminate sensitivity in the teeth and surrounding tissues.

Enamel and Dentin layers of the tooth decay by cleaning the cavity to reach the pulp to create.

Isolated by attaching rubber dam to the tooth.

Determination of working length using electronic instruments and confirmation by radiography.

Destruction and removal of infected dentin layers, microorganisms in the root canal using rotary instrument systems.

Destruction of microorganisms with various root canal disinfectants while using rotary instrument systems in root canals.

Destruction and removal of infected dentin layers, microorganisms in the root canal using rotary instrument systems.

If the tooth is not alive when starting the root canal treatment, wait for a certain period of time with a canal antiseptic to be placed in the root canal and fill the root blood in the next meeting.

After the root canal treatment, the tooth is cut off from the relationship with the surrounding tissues, so that the infection does not occur again, and the tooth is repaired if there is any damage to the surrounding tissues.

CAN THERE PAIN DURING CANAL TREATMENT

Since local anesthesia is applied before the endodontic treatment, the tooth and the surrounding part are completely numb. Therefore, no pain is felt during treatment.

CAN THERE PAIN AFTER TREATMENT

It is possible to have pain after treatment. However, the presence and severity of the pain varies according to the individual’s pain threshold and the condition of the infection. Chewing should not be done with the treated part for a while. However, in case of pain, it is appropriate to use painkillers prescribed by your dentist.

HOW LONG IS THE LIFE OF CANAL TREATMENT

Provided that the root canal treatment is performed successfully, the tooth treated with canal can be used for life if the tooth is covered with crown or filled with a tooth-colored filler.
